RBC Warriors Reach the Top at Provincials
Day Two at the Bantam A Provincials showcased the parity that is the trademark of the RBC Pooled Program in the DJHL. No team has clinched a spot in the finals and only the Generals are eliminated from medal contention out of the six DJHL teams in the competition. After four games for each team, the Warriors lay claim to first place in the standings with 6 points on two wins and two ties. The Warriors offense has been stellar: 17 goals, including 6 from the stick of Andrew Percy. They are followed by the Gladiators at five points, as a result of a 5-5 tie with the Warriors and a 4-3 victory over the Generals. In the latter game Mitchell Hatcher fired a hat trick, including the game winner just before the buzzer to keep his team in the hunt. The log jam at four points apiece includes the Guardians, who rebounded on Day Two with wins over the Generals (2-1) and the Crushers (5-0, with Nathan Wicks-Parsons earning a shut-out), the Crushers, and the Thrashers. The Generals, League Silver Medalists and SEDMHA Champs, find themselves in the cellar with one point. Check out our Tournament section for more details. tp
