news2015-09-25
The Don Johnson Hockey League wishes to inform all players trying out for the DJHL Bantam A division that as of today Hockey NL has mandated that body checking will only be allowed at the divisions of A or higher for Bantam the 2015/16 season. In other words there will only be body checking allowed in the DJHL A division for this upcoming season. Association based Bantam B team will not be allowed to body check within the playing rules effective this year. Given this new direction that is being imposed by Hockey NL, the DJHL would like for any players wishing to opt out of the DJHL Bantam A player selection process to please let us know individually by e-mail BEFORE 5:00 Monday September 21. A player wishing to withdraw their name for consideration in the Bantam A try outs BEFORE the final selection list is posted on Monday evening, will be allowed to try out for their respective association based 'B' team. Any questions can be directed to your minor hockey association representatives.
